Justin Tooley

Head Trainer/ Coach

Justin has over 20 years' experience in the fitness industry. He has been the Director of Strength and Conditioning for the Virginia Basketball Academy, and was a personal and group training instructor for 12 years at ACAC Fitness and Wellness Center. Justin has personally competed in bodybuilding, power lifting, and strongman events and won multiple times.

Gene Richardson


Gene has 5 years' experience in the fitness industry. He worked previously as the strength & conditioning coach for Tampa Catholic High School, where he also taught Weight Training and Personal Fitness classes. He is a former college athlete from Florida Southern College and was drafted as a pitcher in 1996 by the Chicago Cubs. In recent years has taken up Olympic weightlifting as both a competitor and a competition coach.

We are happy to announce that LevelUp Physical Therapy has set up a satellite clinic here at THE GYM™ C’ville. Our staff and the Staff of LevelUp Physical Therapy are dedicated to ensuring our members remain healthy and are able to continue to achieve their health and fitness goals. Even the most experienced individuals can suffer from overuse injuries and/or muscle pain. LevelUp Physical Therapy will be available for consultation, screenings, physical therapy intervention, sports massage, trigger point dry needling and cupping.

Dr. Martine Barre

Doctor of Physical Therapy

Doctor Martine Barre has been a Physical Therapist for 12 years. She graduated from Mary Washington College in 2001 with a Bachelors of Science in Biology with coursework towards Pre Physical Therapy. After joining AmeriCorps NCCC bringing her out West for a few years, she returned to VA to continue to pursue her Physical Therapy education, receiving her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2009 from Shenandoah University in Winchester VA. She spent her first 6 years as a Physical Therapist in Beaufort SC working for a comprehensive PT clinic at Beaufort Memorial Hospital where she split her time between Pediatrics and Geriatrics, pursuing continued education in Orthopedics, Vestibular therapy, and NDT. She returned to VA to the Outpatient setting, investing her time into orthopedics, vestibular and concussion management, return to run/sports programs, and holistic approaches to patients utilizing Trigger Point Dry Needling certification and Cupping. She continues to work towards furthering her expertise with balance and vestibular therapy, Orthopedics, TMJ, and returning all patients, including the weekend warriors, to their prior activity levels and improved quality of life.

Dr. Will Memery

Doctor of Physical Therapy

Doctor Will Memery has been practicing Physical Therapy for 5 years. He earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from Old Dominion University in 2016. He has experience working in both outpatient PT and home health PT. His primary interests include shoulder, low back, knee, and ankle rehabilitation, as well as sports and vestibular rehabilitation. He has experience treating a variety of musculoskeletal and neurological conditions, and enjoys assisting patients in maximizing their functional mobility and independence.


Natasha Pena


Natasha has been practicing in the field of Physical Therapy since 2012 when she graduated from St. Philips College in San Antonio, Texas, earning her Associates of Applied Science Degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant. In 2014 she returned to school to further her knowledge earning her bachelor’s degree in 2016 from PIMA Medical Institute in Mesa, AZ. Currently she is working toward obtaining her Doctorate of Physical Therapy Degree from the University of St. Augustine in Florida. Natasha has worked primarily in outpatient orthopedics and sports medicine rehabilitation, frequently attending continuing educational courses and conferences to further her knowledge and expertise in working with athletes of all levels and ages from youth to collegiate and weekend warriors. Additionally, she is trained in vestibular rehabilitation and concussion management as well as Running Gait Analysis and has served as a youth soccer coach for approximately 8 years. Prior to working as a Physical Therapist Assistant, Natasha served in the United States Army as a Civil Affairs Specialist (May 2000-June 2002) and as a Paralegal Specialist (June 2002-Nov 2007), deploying to both Afghanistan (2004-2005) and Iraq (2006-2007).
